In this week i run Regen in window mode and every 15 seconds animation draw no smooth, now i really need more fast work in window mode!

No something wrong in PSG some strange intonations happen, just run Regen 0.96 and test Sonic & Knuckles Sound Test 25 2C
and try to do this in Regen 0.972 it sounds a bit different!

They do sound different, but 0.972 sounds correct to my ears. 0.96 has the drum instrumentation a little loud.

RAM Viewer in Genesis emulation shows RAM Master System. Or not? But I do not see there the memory area beginning with FF0000.

King of Chaos

You and others say: what Sega Magistr never will be emulated because it clone, but all emus Regen and Kega Fusion on 92% Magistr!

Real Mega Drive:

Can't run games another region
She have two versions of console: Model 1 and Model 2
Work only in one color standard
Not have extra loud synthesizer
etc...

And Sega Magistr:

Run all games, can select region
Work in both color standards PAL and NTSC
Extra loud synthesizer

Mmmm, actually Kega and Regen aim to emulate like a model 1 Sega Genesis/Mega Drive.

You should try to get a model 1 Mega Drive and see how it looks and sounds. ;) It's the standard of the console! If you enable the lowpass filter and disable all the PSG boost/volume, overdrive features and reset the volume settings, it'll sound close to the model 1 Genesis/Mega Drive without the filtering the TV adds.

I can't wait to receive my model 1 and model 2 Genesis units. I still have to hunt down a 32X (with the Genesis 1 extension) and a Sega CD but I'll hopefully have them all by Christmas. When that happens I'll start doing some real hardware recordings through my PC and compare them to Regen. :P

Aamir, can you add buttons to the volume levels, overdrive factor and lowpass rolloff to reset them back to default? Also I'd like to see a "model 1" mode and a "model 2" mode where it'll sound more like the one or the other. :P

A button to reset the M68000 overclock feature without exiting the emulator would be nice too. :P

Do me a favor... Do some tests on Robocop VS The Terminator... The flamethrower effect may be off. I own that game, but have no genesis anymore.

And it sounds like in America?

my real Mega Drive have volume levels like in Dendy and Nestopia!
If you want know how sounds my Mega Drive 2 just listen music in Guardian Legend use emulator "Nestopia" with default volume levels plus leave Mono output, because Dendy use Mono only!

And maybe now you understand me my friend?

Yeah, but that's still the TV's filtering there and not the actual hardware. If you were able to directly hook it up to a computer and do recordings from it, it may sound a little different. ;)

Which brings me to my next point. I think the default volume levels in Regen are too loud. Even with the lowpass filter enabled, it seems too loud to me. It also makes certain things stick out, like certain notes you usually won't hear as loud (e.g. Spider-Man and Venom - Separation Anxiety).

Regarding Robocop Vs. The Terminator, I'll test this out in a bit because I have a really good memory on how it should sound. ;)

Upload the recording to Megaupload and post the link here. :P

Yeah, that sounds slightly different compared to the model 1 and even model 2. Although the Mushroom Hill music sounds fine though. But yeah, the sound effects are all... tunneled sounding. They're actually TOO loud!

I'll do a S&K recording from the real hardware sometime down the line.
