It's definitely working, all buttons work in the KDE Control Panel and bsnes was willing to let me play all the Mega Man X I wanted with it, but I was in the mood for Sonic the Hedgehog tonight. I've also confirmed the pad works with SDLMAME.

This problem seems to be shared with ZDoom and PrBoom, which also don't seem to know the DualShock 2 even exists, though I have no idea why this happens.
Funny - I have two dual shocks plugged into my system with a USB converter, although I don't think it's the same brand. It works fine with Gens/GS, but I think you need something like QJoyPad to make them work with a lot of different programs. It depends on whether they just look for xevents, or actually look for joysticks.

Well, I use SDL too for joysticks too but can't tell why its not working for you. Thanks for the report, I'll look into your problem.

EDIT:
Yeah, its a problem on my side. It will be fixed in the next version.

Hello Aamir,

There will be a Regen v0.97 for gnu/linux?
I'm currently using the old 0.95 version, with the "no-joystick" bug, but it would be great an update version.
In my opinion Regen is the best option for a x86_64 with gnu/linux.

Thank you for share your great work with all of us.
