cheap flash cart

Post by evildragon » Wed Dec 12, 2007 5:37 pm

Well, I want to get a flash cart, once and for all.

But, I don't know which one to get, and I need the following:

XP Compatibility. I have an EPP port so don't worry.
Preferably under 30 dollars US.
Shipping to US.
Come with cable, or can use the cable my Parallel port scanner uses, the standard type.

What can I get for that?

Oh, and MUST take PayPal..

I think, only way to get cart under $30 is develop and produce cart by yourself. In that case you maybe fit into this price.

Crap. I don't have the time or resources to do this myself.

I only have enough time and resources for my "Neptune Clone" hack. (mainly, laying 32X board in Genesis 1 case)..

I'll keep saving up money, perhaps start a savings account, just for a flash cart.

My flashcart with all hardware required cost me 30$ but I had to do everything, form designing the PCB to writing the software. If you care to build things yourself, my thing is freely available on my site... and it works with XP if you run program called USERPORT (great thanks to Shiru for that).

As I said, I don't have the time or resources to build it myself.

... which I recommend.

I have Tototek flash cart and it works amazing!
Soon soon I plan to get a MegaCart (Fonzie's project) too!

I was told there was a better flashcart than the Tototek ones.

"I want one too pure USB based all on board design with 32MB...or CF / SD card reader (best solution ,they are cheap I can have 2 or 3 SDCARDS just for my MD )." :)

I think Tototek has perfect carts but actually I have no extra money for them...
BTW is there any European Tototek´s reseller???
Tototek is too far from here...

But I will buy one in near future...

http://products.genny4ever.net/megacart_v1x.html

It's really cheap and offers a wide range of features. The design is great too:
