Obligatory "Hello Forum!" Post

Post by ShadeFox » Sun Jun 12, 2016 11:12 pm

Hello, everyone! Welcome to my little introductory post. A little background on me (granted I'm sure I'm not that interesting) before I get more involved in this forum.

I'm a 15-year-old programmer, classic gamer, and full-time student. I've been programming for a total of 7 years, the last 5 working with other things than BASIC. I've always been fond of the Sega Genesis (and, by extension, Sonic games), even though I never had one until just about a year ago. I recently learned about the fact that there are still active developers for these lovely old systems, like everyone here, and decided to spend some of my free time learning Motorola 68000 Assembly and attempting to develop a Genesis game. So far, I'm enjoying the challenge, and I've learned quite a bit on just how much trouble old developers had to go through to make a game

Hope I can learn a lot and bring some of my own knowledge to this community!

Hi Shadefox,

I'm really impressed that someone of 15 yo has interests in a system as the Sega Megadrive. I'm even more impressed by your programming skill (7 years of programming and learning 68000 assembly) and your hand writing, usually young people doesn't care much about writing intelligible English :-) Welcome here !
