This Mega Drive is both mundane and boring. Only interesting thing about it is that you can't see how badly I scrubbed the label off the doner cart, for the Everdrive.

TmEE, your MD is impressive!
(By the way, you are tiido priimagi? who install the new screen on the Pier Solar Nomad? I'm the one who painted it and send it to you ;))

Sigflup, Good style your MD 8) I love model 1

Mine is a jap Model 1 with MegaCD 1, nicer than model 2's :P

My other is going to be a Neptune ^^

Last step is to buy a 2A power supply to power both MD and 32X with same power supply!

I was very sceptic about the final result

Only thing i would add is a Neptune logo just in place where the SEGA were...

i think it's spackle; i did the same thing for an MDF-based arcade joystick and needed to use wood filler (basically spackle for wood) to fill the cracks before all the priming and painting.

I don't know what "spackle" is.

In french, this is "mastic de carrosserie"
It's a very little flexible and generally used to repair little car scratches.

apparently, "mastic de carrosserie" is some type of "body filler" putty in English; "spackle" is similar, but for plaster-based surfaces.

Barrage of questions:

What kind of paint did you use?
Did it require multiple coats?
How long for it to dry?
Did you have to clean it in a special way before applying the paint?
Would it also work with controllers?

It's insane how nice that paint job is. It's crazy good.
