A13000 special register

Post by ElBarto » Mon Feb 01, 2010 2:46 pm

Hello all,

I was wondering if someone know how thoses special register work.
I assume that when writting or reading to $A13000-$A130FF it will active the /TIME pin and make /CAS0 and /CE0 goes high ?
Does the /CAS2 go low ?

And beside this, how data is read/write ?
Does it use the standard address/data bus ?

Thanks :)

I guess all other strobes work exactly like they would, I have had no trouble using the other strobes on cartslot in tandem with the !TIME signal (strobes that are active when the A130xx area is accessed, like the one used as !OE for ROM on cart).

68K data and address and read/write strobles behave like with any other address, no extra headache :)

Thanks a lot TmEE :)

And $A13000 is just re-routed on the cart and $A12000 on the exp port ?

I guess so, Sega did not make things a big headache (well, only VDP and its weird secrets, but actually its Yamaha to blame not Sega) :P
