Sega Genesis/Megadrive is equiped with robust FM chip.
But PSG is not so powerful.
So I have idea for second PSG soundcard.
Also EXP. port is almost unused (only few projects).

Why SAA1099P?
- allready works on Z80 systems (so can be driven by MD/Genny Z80)
- 6 stereo channels
- its cheap
- huge amount on alibaba

We will get total 10 PSG channels together with Texas Instruments SN.
Maybe in future Deflemask tracker can add it too.

New soundcard can use expansion port. And have audio cinch in and with mux mix ym fm+sn with saa
and output can be 2x golden cinch.
Also I will do enclosure in CAD when someone will make PCB (I am not HW geek).
So with this soundcard we will have sound like 2x AY (like SEGA Kyugo) plus fm and sn like in arcade maschines was!

I can imagine using it for sound effects and YM2612+SN76489 for music. Or YM+SAA for music and SN for effects... Etc etc.

Lets call this soundcard: SAASonic!!!

FYI: The Z80 can't access the IO area, so if you hang this off the expansion port the Z80 will not be able to access it.

And cartridge?

The Z80 can access the cartridge area.
