Hi there,

I know it may sound dumb but my goal is to get my genny near my PC when I dev, to make full test not only through emulator.

So, do you think I could connect my Genny to a Rearview Monitor screen for Car Backup Camera like this one :
http://www.amazon.com/Rearview-Monitor- ... 66&sr=1-24

I plan to get a 7" version but it'll be the same.
What bugs me is the resolution => 480(H) x RGB x 272(V)
272 won't be enought right ?

In both cases the image is interpolated to fit screen, also deinterlaced.
The controller assumes 480i or 576i input, even though it receives 240p or 288p. There won't be any pixel lining up.

Although it does seem like a good idea I think using a capture card may be even better. You will be close to the PC.

my first guess was an USB capture card (got a laptop)

but, from what I read, lag is important...unless you pay !
In this case, I'll buy a dedicated portable mini TV ;)

LCD based mini TV does exactly the same stunts as the parking screen. But the screen res may be higher so it can look better.

That is a good way to do it. I use GENS-KMod and MESS for Emu stuff then have UMDK for hardware it is a good way to do it.

I am using a VGA-Upscaler connected to a VGA CRT Monitor for most of my MD development incidentally.

Good luck with it, kaneda.
