EEprom 24C01 Simulation with Pic12F

Post by bastien » Fri Sep 13, 2013 7:48 pm

Hi all,

i request your help about a project.
i have find krikzz documentation about Eeprom Emulation:

http://krikzz.com/pub/support/everdrive ... eeprom.pdf

and the official Sega pinout for 24C01 Mode 1:
http://sega4ever.power-heberg.com/Temp/02.gif

did you think the speed of a Pic is enough for simulate the logic ?
i have a PIC12F629 with 128 octets of Eeprom storage ( same as mode 1).
and with krizz doc and Genesis Plus GX Eeprom code it will not really hard to write this.

Thanks

Microchip still sells serial eeproms. I had a quick look at the datasheet of the 24C01 and it seems to operate very similarly to a newer 24xx01 - you may be able to use that.

EDIT:

Better yet, they still sell 24C01's:

What does db stand for? Well that's an excellent question...
