YM2612 test run

Seems like there is not much info over the net about actual designing hardware with ym2612. I build example schematic with YM1612 but I can't make sure it works at all.
It runs on 7.68Mhz and driven by by
First of all it hot as hell when running and I don't know is it OK
I made test code http://pastebin.com/5JUm7LM7 (data bus is inverted) but got nothing.
Can someone provide simple example that 100% proved to work (I made mine from sega2.doc)
