Sega Pico selfmade Eprom-Cartridge

Post by TeamEurope » Sat Aug 11, 2012 4:35 pm

hi!

i'm currently designing an Eprom-Cartridge for the Sega PICO....as the PICO-Cartridges are technically the same as MD-Cartridges it's easy to do.

for the first test-version i'm using an M27C322 eprom which has 2mb (16bit) space. which will be enough for 99% of all games for the pico...as only 1 game is known to use 4mb! all others are between 521kb and 2mb...

ok...so the principial design of the cartridge is easy going...but i have one question.

i want to make a Multigame Cartridge...so for example i wanna burn 4x 512kb games on the eprom and with a DIP-Switch or maybe even with a normal Jumper i wanna switch between the games...as the Pico does not have a reset function i wanna do it with a DIP-Switch or Jumper... but here's my problem, could someone maybe draw me a little shematic of which pins of eprom have to be connected to switch... to do that?

so there can be these situations:

1.
4 games with 512kb each...

2.
2 games with 1024kb each

3.
1 game with 2048kb...

is this possible with a jumper or dipswitch?
