Is there such thing...

Post by TmEE co.(TM) » Mon Dec 11, 2006 2:02 pm

Saturday I built a tiny 256KB (2Mbit) SRAM cartridge for use with my MD cart R/W device and MD itself. I tried to run some of my demos on MD but they didn't run as I forgot to add 'write "SEGA" to reg' code in them and sources got lost. Then I wrote a TMSS patcher which puts 'write "SEGA" to reg' code in the ROM image. I wonder is anyone else done such thing ???
I believe it is useful for these unlicensed games that won't run on TMSS systems (newer MD1, MD2, MD3?).
All available at my sites MD section

I haven't seen/heard something like that, you could use a binary editor to fix the file. Question is whether it's worth creating an app to modify the ROM image or just do it a binary editor?

No need for any editors, I wrote a program for that. Just type SMDTMSSP name_of_the_rom.BIN and TMSS added. Never do it twice on a same file.

Go ahead, use the files. My site won't go anywhere, it gets only bigger and bigger.
