There is a racing game (championship pro arm?) that is using this mode for two player too... If I remember. Steve said a nice thing some time ago... Was about making a vertical scrolling shooter, using interlaced display (mode1) would improve a lot the scrolling "precision"... It's a bit sad that no...

It is a utility that read the microphone values of your soundcart?
Nice idea :) Strange that you don't get so so precises values... maybe 44000hz don't do it for Hsync?.

Nice find. Yeah, might be an interrupt mask or something that locks the the VDP access... Because of the raster drawing, a halt would turn off the screen :) You tried to play with this pin during a game with complex sprites & raster effects like sonic, what's happen on the rasters? And during a game...

It's just supporting such companies that is problematic... While they don't hesitate to manufacture 10.000 units, the production price goes easily under the 20usd limit... Then they sell the stuff at 10x the price and make lot of quick cash. I have some problem knowing where the unsold units goes......

Well, the myth cart is recurrently the best product for playing backups, seems. However, it look pricey and nothing is known about reliability as no one got it yet. On my very personal point of view... I would wait and see... For some reasons, there "may" have a better product in preparation, and no...

Yeah, very great find :) I was "sure" there were an input or output on the VDP so it could be hooked on another one for more planes :D Sega always think about many things :D Even if it's not totally the case, knowing the ABSprites pixels let you already mix signal with another megadrive in a very si...

I think the megadrive already add left and right "dead" pixels... Except the 16pixel shift to the left, the whole screen should be seen on a normal PAL TV :)

And about the cheapo bright distorsion... yeah, I have this on my Ultra crap modern TV.. and "my" 15year old panasonic is just perfect...

320*224 = Fullscreen on NTSC system... = Borderline on PAL system. 320*240 = Sync error on NTSC system = Almost no top/bottom borders on PAL. 256 width = Same as 320 width (horizontally distorted). However, some megadrive set just have a display shift of almost 16 pixels to the left... So you may lo...

Ya :) I'm more or less coding the fight part of a rpg :D So I have to face the problem too ;) For example, I have several enemies minds like "bastard", "frustrated", "scared", "hero"... Depending of those settings, the formula between "run away", "attack", "defend" slightly edits + there is always t...
