Oh no, it's Duel core in the sense that it has a hardware feature to accelerate fighting games. It makes the Mania mode possible in Streets of Rage 2, where you have 7-8 people running around with an advanced fighting AI. It's sort of like Blast Processing used by the Sonic games. Sega does what Nin...

Dual Cores would be insufficient to run streetfighter. But DUEL CORES are optimized for that task!

As far as TFV remixes go, I prefer this style.

Quite a bunch of the official docs are up here. As far as I know, the only thing undocumented in them is a couple of things about the SCU DSP.

Right, I kept thinking that the effects are rendered transparently from the getgo, which could potentially be too much with 50+ explosions and fire effects onscreen. But, you can render them opaque, since the transparency itself is applied by the vdp2. That's actually not a bad idea... But I still t...

The emerald level in Sonic R is fairly simple - the polygons of the level are drawn at half opacity, with a vdp2 background "overlayed" into them. Kinda off-topic too, anyone got any idea/tutorial on how to get CEP to work with SSF? Dunno, but if you check the About box, it lists the CEP base addres...

I refuse to care about sonic hacks until someone makes an edit where Sonic is replaced by Zupapa.

Kega would then need to upsample 44.1khz cd audio to 48khz, which is potentially less flexible, and wastes whatever cpu time you gain at your drivers. Of course it wouldn't matter for non-cd games, but it would be a huge pain for those. So there's kinda no point at adding higher sampling rates (exce...

A real Megadrive cannot load more than 4 mbytes (32mbit). To load bigger roms, you need to do bankswitching. Kega does that fine for Super SF2 (40mbit cart), and I think a few bootleg carts.

That MK Trilogy rom would not work on a real Megadrive either, no idea why Gens manages to run it.

Fusion 3.63 now runs X-Men proto, though it only seems to work with a 6 button pad. Using a 3 button pad will make the player constantly shoot. Can someone confirm this on the hardware?

I got these in Digital Pinball Necronomicon (saturn). They happen quite often, if I agressively switch pages in the options menu mid-game. Lost a bunch of awesome scores because of it a few times. http://evilboris.sonic-cult.net/SSF/Digital_Pinball_Necronomicon_(J)/randomcrash1.png http://evilboris....
