This is absolutely incredible  ! I can't even put some constructive criticism in this useless post. I was so excited that I didn't know what to post. Two thoughts that I had while reading, aside of being worried about Tiido's thumb! - Would it be possible for the 2612 to somehow interpret an...

I would, and others would but not when you go and spam the threads in which other people discuss their work with: OMG IM BUSTING A FUCKING NUT AS WE SPEAK, THIS IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO D...

I actually was interested in these demos, but I really would prefer not to talk to a person that attacks others just because he doesn't get enough attention.

http://www.fileden.com/files/2008/4/21/1876835/WaterFactory.ogg That's how things sound now :) Version is now 0.4 and PCM code has been optimized a lot to get the quality you hear. Recorded straight off my MD2 That's just fantastic. Nothing else to say. I'm especially in love with the bass. And the...

And saying that they are not really comparable is a convenient way of arguing one isn't more capable or superior to the other (or more precisely that the SNES audio isn't really superior). Well in many ways, it isn't. Example: I think the SNES sound was far superior... especially played through a s...

You could set it up the same way as a YM2612 and have it play genesis music fairly easily. I'm sure some of the genesis->saturn ports do exactly that. You'd be surprised if you knew how much they were all rewitten to use prerecorded effects. That is true. None of the emulated games seems to use FM,...

That would be wise to order the wholesale for reduce the cost of shipping. Do not consider this as advertising. But that person "X" should be geographically most closely to target. I would offer myself for distributing these across Europe. I can accept PayPal, bank transfer, and cash via regular ma...

It'd also be possible to use the existing Wikis at DCS or DCEmulation: http://www.dreamcast-scene.com/index.php/Main/Development http://dcemulation.org/?title=Welcome_to_DCEmulation! Full access could be given to anyone interested, and we could have extensive sections about each and every Sega conso...

It seems very customized though, I couldn't even replace the ROM with the English version without the emulator crashing after the Sega splash screen.

The Disney collections (Sega Ages series, I presume?) and Sonic Jam did not emulate anything, they had the games completely rewritten to the Saturn. No, while it might be true for Sonic Jam, it seems it is not for the Disney Collection. The music is streamed ADPCM, but the games included are actual...

TmEE co.(TM) wrote:Steve Snake said that DC has same sound chip like Saturn has, but no FM and 2x more channels, and some more features. DC's sound CPU has enough power, so a software FM synth would be possible.
That would be something!

- It would make perfect Mega Drive emulation possible 8)

Yeah, Panzer Dragoon Zwei has an absolutely fantastic score entirely FM based afaik. Saturn could also stream APDCM soundtracks, as seen in the Mega Drive emulators (Disney Collection, Sonic Jam, etc.pp.) - Does the Dreamcast have any FM capabilities ?

I've worked on a SNES game which was ported to Genesis, so I have a bit of experience with both systems. According to the Sega-16.com interview it's been Zombies Ate My Neighbors. - Gonna give it a try some day. The SNES audio was generally considered easier to work with than the Genesis. You could...
