Re: GIT with my Genitile and SNASM68kDB

thanks all ;) Why keeping snasm68k alive ? i just love snasm68k ;) i'm still using snasm68k because i programmed in 2005 my own debugger (megadrive studio) which use files generated by snasm68k. That debugger is tailored to my needs , and i don't see any use to change my workflow... Also, I like to...

Re: GIT with my Genitile and SNASM68kDB

If you find the GNU syntax that terrible, surely writing a Motorola-to-GNU converter would be less work than going to the trouble of using an ancient DOS program? https://www.jankratochvil.net/project/mot2as/ I can't speak for Pascal but I need the COFF format and debug header that it outputs for u...

Re: GIT with my Genitile and SNASM68kDB

SNASM68kDB : snasm , embedded in the dos box emulator trimmed from all graphical component. so it act as a regular command line tool. You utter hero! What are the default settings (RAM, speed, etc)? My assembly times in DOSbox are currently 3 mins+ and I can't figure out why. Instantaneous on a rea...

Re: What would be a DIY dev kit ?

UMDK only connects through cart slot, so unsure how it could compete with the Cross Products unit (it's an entire custom MCD board and interface), unless I'm missing something. I am indeed developing software for it though, and really excited about it - currently making GDB improvements to read SNAS...

Re: What would be a DIY dev kit ?

This is my dream kit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9zQueGP4iI&index=3&list=PLJAZP-TLMPj4JnSB3XAe2k6zO11jhZ6qq I don't know its full capabilities, or whether it's able to read VRAM (probably not), but it's a simple slot-in-and-play solution that's not unlike UMDK. If one of these ever hits eBay I...

Re: UMDK Manufacturing - word of advice

On topic: Yes, these points should be raised for production-level carts (not just UMDK). db has raised issues (on other projects) with things like voltage levels, earthing, plating and other helpful tips to make the very best end product that's compatible with all consoles and will last for a very l...

How did I not know this? You've just solved a load of my problems, I keep sprites at X=0 to "hide" them!
