Re: Papi Commando RELOAD !! *SgdK* - Megadrive

The numbers are gonna be difficult to read over composhit, pure red and blue are most smeary colors you can have. Green and combination colors aswell as bright values won't smear as much.

Re: ROM padding question

SMD format files shouldn't exist at all, and all support for them should be removed IMO so that the format can die out...

Re: Interlace mode (LSMx=3)

This is what you're supposed to get :

http://www.tmeeco.eu/SMD/Sonic2interlace1.jpg (shows both, yay exposure shenanigans)

I'm using the most recent nightly and the GPU is intel GMA 4500, it happens in both XP pro 32 and Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit.

Re: Maybe some new technical information about the Yamaha YM2612

Outside of telling how the phase modulation works and the tables there isn't anything new there. I does mention test registers explicitly though, but no extra info haha. Values in the tables aren't very useful for MD though, because the YM runs at 8MHz there, so all the values are slightly too big. ...

Re: How does work SRAM on everdrive?

Some RPGs have 32KByte save memory. Emulators don't tend to emulate more than 64KBytes, regardless of what header says when I tested it long ago.

Re: Blastem 0.5.0 - Many accuracy improvements, basic SMS support, runs OD2

I got a new machine which does have OpenGL working and i tried the interlace mode stuff and it seems that it doesn't actually show any interlacing, only one of the fields is ever shown. The video settings used : video { aspect stretch width 694 height 588 vertex_shader default.v.glsl fragment_shader...

Re: How does work SRAM on everdrive?

You may also need the backup RAM header bit too just after the RAM range. "RA"+two bytes that tell what the memory is and how it is connected.

Re: Cartridge copy protection

Trying to talk to the flash chips is one way to go about it, if the chip isn't giving expected response you knew you're not on original hardware. Most flash chips have means to ask an ID from them. You could even put saves on the chip too if the sectors are small enough, beware of limited write capa...
