Pinouts differ (VCC is in a totally different place), with a small modification those things could be used. No idea how hostile the protocol is, it might be better idea to just make your own adaptor and have existing Sega mice compatibility there, far more useful for most people I imagine.

I have an extra tidbit about the offsetting problem. it seems to happen in 50Hz+interlacing, one of interlace mode demos produces same kind of shift of the image as the menu ROM. 1:1 pixel option with zoom is probably best way to go about it. When MCD is connected the 400000...7FFFFF range will have MCD BIOS and other bits of it visible there. When you disable the check stuff will probably run but sooner or later there will be hardware damage due to bus fighting that happens betwees MCD and the everdrive cart. Cart side tends to win over...

There is no mirroring effect going on when the width is 64 tiles, only the first 32 rows get used, when the width is 32 tiles it does produce the mirroring effect, 0...31, 0...31, 64...95, 64...95. Flat mapping with !DTACK generation in 9th and 10th MByte. It won't work with 32X present, and causes bus fights when MCD is present.

MD2 VA0 and 1 have no 75ohm loading, VA3 and VA4 do. Nomads and Genesis3s do not connect the audio lines.
