Ooh, I forgot about Panorama Cotton. That one has to be the commercial game to push the Megadrive the farthest it can go.

Adventures of Batman & Robin also had many interesting effects like that, and so did Vectorman. And Ranger X too.

Comix Zone, because you have to figure out what is an emulation bug and what is an actual game bug (the game is ingenious but also very buggy).

And cd+g too! In fact, Kega is the only emulator for any CD based system I know of that can play cd+g right.

Sonic & Knuckles cart question

I asked this over at sega retro, and no one replied, I figure there may be more "experimenting" people here who may have done this already: Does anyone have pictures of the S&K cart PCB with the cart slot desoldered and removed? It looks like some ID text is underneath that part, and I don't want to...

I wonder why no game tried to use it, maybe it sounds really too bad for being understandable...
Probably just the documentation sucking.

So, record some games then! I vote Streets of Rage 2, level 3, 4, 8 and the boss tune.

Yes, well. Be careful what you wish for. The perfect figure of my favorite Transformer, turned out to be $400.

With being able to do things like "print" blood vessels, how long do you think it will be until you can print food in general? We are really close to a Food-a-Rac-a-Cycle. :D Not until the power requirements /material costs will be low enough to justify the use of 3d printers / futuristic material ...

Yamaha did not make chips themselves, they got them made by Sharp and NEC, and possibly others. Where can I get this kind of info? It would be very interested in it. The 4 letter code is relating to where the chip is made or which machine or something. That is what I think, there's many variations....

Here's some info I got after comparing numbers, for Yamaha chips (which used the date format in my original post). It appears Yamaha switched dating formats around 1990 June. There is possibly no exact date, as different plants may not have switched at the same time. But I have date codes correspond...

I've seen keyboards with serials over 9000, but of course that means nothing without knowing the exact relations between those and the machine. As in, did they make as many keyboards as there were teradrives in total, or note. I think theres a hdd connector like that in my old IBM 330. I think it's ...

I have a VGA connector added to one of my Saturns. Since I don't have an upscaler, nor a 15khz monitor, I can only use it with two homebrew titles. But hey, it's still pretty cool!
