Re: Pointer Tables and Jump Tables By Example
You have confused JMP with JSR. The PC is saved prior to loading the address of the routine into the PC and then popped back off when done, i.e. you will see an RTS. I don't think that I have, I've perhaps just not explained it clearly. They are executed in order but (obviously) the code they jump ...

Re: [Kmod] v0.7.3
Well I am very impressed, as advertised the source code built and ran immediately after checkout, good work! I'm thinking of having a look at the functionality provided by Gens Tracer (and here for a better write up ) and seeing if I could impliment something similar to KMod to help reduce the amoun...

Pointer Tables and Jump Tables By Example
So I've just finished reading through the (currently) 8 pages of topics here in the Megadrive/Genesis subforum and something that comes up time and time again without explanation is the concept of pointer tables and jump tables. So I thought I’d make this topic to hopefully explain what they are and...

The above link won't show for me so can't see exactly what you are looking for. However... Have you read the blog by BigEvilCorporation? It is the most recent one I've stumbled across and really enjoyed. The start is here: http://bigevilcorporation.co.uk/2012/02/28/sega-megadrive-1-getting-started/ ...

Re: Bug reports?
Thanks for the response. I got my dev environment setup and have managed to compile and build the source and the emulator is up and running. Not sure why bitbucket reports the download as 5.8MB as it isn't that either compressed or uncompressed. Regardless Exodus is still falling over when I try and...

Re: Bug reports?
Hey Nemesis is this still the place for bug reports, I see it has been 10 months since the last post? If this is still being monitored for bug report let me know and I can do a more formal report with error logs, crash dumps, environment details and so on. Just made a start yesterday trying to get r...

Not Frontpage News?
Isn't this worthy of appearing in the News section on the homepage? I'd certainly say so... I'm not one for making introductory topics so I'll just say hey here. Hey, I'm Ryan, a developer from the sunny shores of Scotland. If you know Scotland (or the UK at all for that matter) you'll know that tha...
