For some reason gendev.spritesmind.net doesn't resolve for me. I had to put your IP into my HOSTS file to be able to access this place.

Yes, but the problem is that there ARE hundreds of sites containing the exact same, and completely wrong, information - and nothing whatsoever with the correct information. So it's impossible to convince anybody it's wrong. Hm maybe http://www.reptilia-design.co.uk/ (your site?) should get a megadr...

There is Western Union option too, which did cost me 6$ (probably because I live not that far from Russia).

I'll add a few too: Mazin Saga / Mazin Wars - title screen breaks if vint timing is off Wiz 'n' Liz - The Frantic Wabbit Wescue - if you wait through attract mode credits screen will appear with some water mirror effect, which may mess up due to hint/vint timing. Jimmy White's Whirlwind Snooker - so...

You maybe better off using a static recompiler since its just this one game that uses the SVP. Well it sort of is already, as it only recompiles stuff once, but does it on demand only. I play most of my CDs without strict timing in PicoDrive. I can't think of the ONE that requires strict timing off...

yes, both approach are interesting, optimization gurus have all my respect, because I feel it is still a much harder task than designing the "perfect" hardware emulator  Nah, I think doing 100% perfect emu is insane task. PS: you got virtua racing running at 60fps on GP2X, really ? what did y...

Crazy stuff.. The goals in emus I worked on are completely opposite: do as little as possible to get the game running, use large timeslices, hack around problems.. But it's fun non-the-less to get things running on rather low-end devices comparably well (think Virtua Racing on 240MHz GP2X @ 60fps wi...

AamirM wrote:For example, emulating the *perfect* M68000 wouldn't run Gargoyles or Jim Power.
In the case of Jim Power "perfect" m68k would do just fine, the game relies on some less documented m68k behavior, not a shared bus issue, as it is with Gargoyles.

Is the brightness of the spots is also roughly the same as in emus? The bottom one in the bottom half of the screen brighter then one in top half of the screen, and some of them completely hide behind the layer on the right?

shadow/hilight test

Can someone please run this test on the real hardware (I still have no way to run homebrew, damn!): http://notaz.gp2x.de/misc/gen/nshtest.zip I just want to be sure that emus handle operator sprites correctly. Screen captures when the sprites are on the left and right sides of the screen would be ni...

What about a YM2612 section? It's the most complex device in Genny IMO, and is getting more discussion then anything else recently.

We are going off-topic, but "Бриг У-001" and "Estonia" speakers can be found at my parent's house, working fine. Used them extensively while was still living with them. My russian skills are also similar, can understand a bit, read 5 words per minute in cyrillic, but not speak, except really simple ...
