Ah, and I was halfway mapping the pinout down. But this is better. Thanks a lot! It is worth noting that the buggy slowdown music isn't perfectly emulated on any emulator, including Exodus. Exodus comes the closest though, but a part at the beginning plays faster. Kega has it pretty wrong until the ...

Embarrassingly enough, just gathering my thoughts properly for a forum post is enough to figure out a problem sometimes. Load up a T2 Arcade savestate while running BK3, then soft reset. The "hidden" options are there. It also changes the controls (you can remap it back in the options), which it did...

Bootleg Blues

As in: how to get these bootleg carts to work in emulators as they do in the hardware? I've had a few bootleg carts over the years with a few minimal differences compared to the original titles. I'd like to repro these in emulators. However this does not seem to be too easy. Case #1: Streets of Rage...

One intermediate solution could be to output to 1280x960 (plus the overscan), in which mode H40 pixels are drawn 4 times bigger in both direction, while H32 ones are drawn 5 times wider and 4 times taller. Of course, the huge window size could be a problem for some users, but this would be the only ...

15, 980Kb? I'm assuming you mean ram. I can't imagine the code/decompressor taking up that much rom space. It's no where near that on the 65x version for code length. Yes, Ram. Example for genesis games: level tileset = ~30kb+ 16kb ("probs buffer") wanted by packfire (=18 kb for other game data)+ w...

Personally I think that the points you want for your license are all very smart, and would prevent the terrible mis-use that prevents many open source projects to actually get anywhere (how many thousand different Linux distros are now?). It's a shame that TECHNICALLY it wouldn't even be considered ...

I imagine that would be limited by your drive speed, not cpu power. Have you tried it on a SSD? OK, let's see. 5 threads for one channel. 6 channels and one master out. So we have 5*6+1=31 threads. Output format is 44100/16/2 that require 172,2KBytes/s. In result: 31*172,2=5340,2KBytes/s or 5,2MByt...

The chances of *anything* working on XP x64 are slim to none. That OS was barely supported by anyone, plus it's close to a decade old now.

Runs between 65-125fps on my i5 3570k at 3.8ghz. The video window is not perfectly smooth though, it skips one-two frames pretty often even when it runs at 60fps. I recall SOR2 having mid-screen cram garbage when the GO! test appears, as well as a minor hiccup in the gameplay, but I don't see those ...

Sega CD and 32x comes naturally.

For Master System, there's a slight bump though: either do it as in Megadrive backwards compatibility mode, or do it as a native Master System.

Can't wait! After release I'll probably suggest something like a benchmark-type of feature. However I'm going to hold off on suggesting anything else besides Game Gear and Pico, since we have no clue what goodies you have to surprise us with. :D Screw that, let's emulate the Picture Magic instead. :D
