Re: How to use this spritesheet?
The background plane is 640 pixels wide, fill that with tiles and it should repeat when you scroll through it.

Re: How to use this spritesheet?
You can do parallax with them, and if you want to simulate even more layers of parallax you can do tile scrolling, or for an illusion of 3d perspective, line scrolling.
Use the Kmod for GENS emulator to check how many tiles you have free in your vram.
There should be space for around 1300 tiles.

Re: How to use this spritesheet?
Lower the resolution, tweak the sprites to fit in a grid of 8x8 pixels, and for animations, place the sprites belonging to a certain part/animation in a horizontal line. You can convert these into tiles, or if you want to use some of the rescomp features, you can save the sprite sheet as: 16-color i...

Re: How to update a switced palette on background
Right now i'm using VDP_setPaletteColors. The problem i'm having is that when i call my function which contains a sequence of palette changes within a loop, Only the last change will be applied. IE: void ScrollPalettes { for(blabla = 0; blabla < NumOfDefinedPalettes; blabla ++) { VDP_setPaletteColor...

How to update a switced palette on background
I'm trying to switch palettes quickly on PLAN_B.
But for some reason only the last palette of the sequence of 4 is set.
It skips over 3 palettes.
How do i update the backround palette quickly enough so that the palette change could be seen?

Re: Raster perspective for background layer.
Would anyone here have some example code of how to use VDP_linescroll properly?
EDIT: i got the scroll lines working properly, but now when i'm trying to do vertical tile scrolling using the same method, all the tiles scroll the same amount for some strange reason.

Re: 3D printed cart....new paths ?
For most people, tinkercad is enough. For more flexible features Autodesk's "Fusion" is free for people that generate less than 100k of yearly revenue from their product. However if you have money to burn, the best solution would "Solidworks" by Dassault systèmes. There is also Blender, which is fre...

Re: 3D printed cart....new paths ?
My FDM printer prints ABS plastic just fine, which is the same plastic used to make most cartridges. I havent yet seen any weaknesses by delamination, and i reckon the parts can be stronger than some injection molded ones lenghtwise. Also, Printing artifacts and layer lines are easy to remove from A...

Re: Documentation
What happened to the docs anyway? Why were they removed?
Also, The release notes of 1.3 say that the documentation has been updated but it still isn't included in the build.
