Re: I'm still alive!

Everyone still alive I hope!? I am, so that's something at least. Just getting back into the swing of the old ROM scene again after a bit of time on other projects. Picking up Toejam and Earl again but kicking myself because my build of Exodus no longer works. Not sure what I've changed on my PC sin...

Re: Import / Export Current Active Disassembly State

That's great to know Nemesis, thanks for taking the time to reply. I'm now using my own build of Exodus rather than the pre-built one you supply. My aim was to find what was causing the crash and attempt to fix it however it hasn't happened again since so perhaps it was a fluke or perhaps I just hav...

Import / Export Current Active Disassembly State

I've just returned to Exodus after having it recommended to me by someone who has created 10+ Megadrive disassemblies. I'm really liking the active disassembly feature and am getting great results with it. I'm finding 2 issues though: 1) It occasionally crashes during analysis, losing all recorded i...

It's not a pun?

A man walks into a zoo. The only animal it has is a single dog.

It's a shitzu.

That's a pun.

Re: [Kmod] v0.7.3

What if you had two paths the system could take when loading the ROM, one that goes down the current route and another that goes down the tracing route. This way you only pay the price once for the if statement at ROM load but you pay the cost in having a lot of replicated code (one that has the tra...

Hahaha I've never seen a spam bot be picky about who can reply to him before! Understand no Fonzie since he's a mod but what has Mask of Destiny done?

Tell the truth Mask, is it actually one of your ex's?

Could be worth contacting your ISP, make sure they aren't deciding to police the internet for you.

Re: [Kmod] v0.7.3

i'm a big fan of IDA myself but it's clearly not "buyable" if at least they sold 68k version only at a good price... :( For you request, it will slow down a lot KMod, which is already very slow. and i don't see a way to limit the slow effect making tracing an option :( sorry That would be a great w...

Hey that is looking really good. Looks like you've achieved a hell of a lot.

Just as a note the expert selection screen reminds me of the choice of racer on Micro Machines. :)

Re: [Kmod] v0.7.3

As I know, few month ago, the IDA's v6.8 version was leaked to public. =) But, sure, I don't mean, that you should search for it! As a software developer I do my best not to search for such things because I wouldn't be that keen on people doing it to me. But when you put such a high price po...

Re: Pointer Tables and Jump Tables By Example

Cheers again for the replies guys, especially Natsumi for spelling out the problems. When people are crtical of my code (which obviously never happens) I always try and swallow my pride and use it as an opportunity to learn and improve, hopefully ehaliewicz will view it in the same light! Re: [Kmod] v0.7.3

If you want to debug ROMs, try to use Gensida . It already includes GensTracer functionality. Just set breakpoints to VDP, RAM, or ROM where you want. But to use that I need IDA Pro and to get IDA Pro I need $1129! (£782!) As much as I love this I'm afraid I'm not at a point I can justify that. :cr...

Re: Pointer Tables and Jump Tables By Example

if we are strictly on Motorola 68000, the example ehaliewicz gives is wholly useless, and even if you could use said instructions in practice, it still would lead to poor implementation. That's fighting talk! If you are going to be such a harsh critic it would be great to know why you think it is a...
