A 386 for $100? I got two for free, one didn't work, and one has its motherboard sitting on my desktop waiting to be put in a case.
I live in southern Italy and usual shops don't usually sell stuff for computers less than 2-3 years old, but some do, but good luck finding stuff there at cheap prices ...

The old PC way is good, I've been given three working old computer motherboards in the last months. But if you add case, DVD drive and hard disk, you can easily go in the $70-$80 range.
This is a good reason for keeping old hardware

What version are you referring to? 1.24? The one I've given you in the link works perfectly on here. :|

That link doesn't work :/
It says that access to it is forbidden. You can try here.
I'm not sure if 1.24 was a real release or only a beta, but the place where I got it (Sik's MDRDC when it was still online) said it was a beta.

Nice, I can understand it quite well but not totally, I'm Italian and my knowledge of French is very limited.

There are also serial PCMCIA cards available, so you can also use it on a laptop that's got that expansion bus (most have it), but they're a bit expensive (at least the prices they were selling them for that I found on the net).

Wow, this is one of the most far fetched questions I've seen in a while.
No, it isn't possible at all. Game Maker games requires 100 times the RAM of the Genesis (because Game Maker loads everything on startup), and I think it requires at least 20-30 times the CPU power of the genesis as it needs to ...

how new is it? are people still developing for the amiga?
The AGA chipset does 256-color in non-HAM mode as far as I know, while the genesis has only 64, so you either need to use raster effects and highlight and shadow to give the impression of more than 64 colors, or you convert the graphics to ...

Apple is just a misleading and presumptous company, Mac OS X's compatibility for hardware isn't very low.
The hardest thing to get working in my opinion is accellerated video, I had a laptop on which it worked (now sadly dead).
You can have the cheapest integrated AC97 or HDA controller, and the ...

What made you think that I made projects equivalent to yours?
I already thought about making those things, and my "designs" (if you can even call them that ;) ) were pretty different from yours.
And please stop this "wait until I'm banned" stuff.
You're looking like a rabid that's going to die.
Let ...

The attitude here reminds you divsite? Except for some people that are harsh sometimes (you find that kind of people everywhere) I don't see anything wrong with this place.
And what is the "I have started activity and all interesting stuff here" arguments? There were decent topics, already.
And I ...

Shiru, that was quite harsh. The fact that you have many years of experience doesn't mean anything; we never stop learning.
It doesn't matter if Sik said you something you already knew, this behaviour of yours is despisable.
And stop to be emo, Sik, almost nobody (except for a few ones) is arguing ...

A cart fryer for an homebrew game? What are you thinking about?
In my opinion the user is fully entitled to a backup of his cartridge.
And no offence, but what you want to do is just evil and you're going to ruin your reputation, that way.

Apple restricts Mac OS X to make it run only on Apple computers. It isn't supposed to run on any other.
And it's perfectly possible to update hacked versions, but you need to do a bit of "magic" by copying kernel extensions from the previous version and applying some patches.
I've done it from 10.4 ...

You don't need another processor, as Apple switched to Intel in 2005.
