By the way, apart from Gens K-mod, is there any emulator with Kega's accuracy level and speed with debugging features (vdp mainly)? Sadly, no. A few years ago Snake was thinking about releasing a build of Kega Fusion with his debugging options enabled (yes, Kega has debugging options, if you open K...

Kega's accuracy is enough for me, I don't want to made a million color demo, or anything close to Pier Solar. I agree with faster hardware, the emulator's requirement will be easier to accept. By the way, apart from Gens K-mod, is there any emulator with Kega's accuracy level and speed with debuggin...

But not everybody can buy an expensive cpu, or if they can they wont do it for just an emulator. Would it be possible if the emulator get a Fusion level of compatibility option with the same debug features? And for those who have a very fast cpu can use the more accurate emulation. Gens K-mod has so...

I got a i3 540 3ghz,8gigs of ram and a geforce 630 4gb, and with my own game to test with, the musics are lagging (tfm engine). The game uses less than 1k of memory, and a very simplistic engine, yet it lags. But the debugging is awesome. I don't plan to change the cpu just for the emulator, so it w...

Exodus is really an awesome thing, but man, it eats my CPU for breakfast...The sound lags on an i3 cpu. Nontheless, this is what i was searching for in a long time. Gens K mod doesnt seem to like the tfm engine and my game hangs on the emu while it runs fine on real hw. A galaxy of thanks for Exodus...

Well, this project will be delayed, since i have some personal life matters, and a heck of a lot less time, but i have an updated rom, with some music and a bit more scenes.

If you get a 68k disassembler, you can do it, but i think it will be hardly any use for you to read a very complex assembly code.

Looks similiar to BASIC, it looks very good. :) I have my own engine for a VN in Bex, it's as easy as this program looks.
Great find bro.

I'm also waiting patiently for this, the nicest thing is the full debugging environment, which is missing from Fusion, and I needed it several times, and Gens K-mod was failing so many times in compatibility.
You are awesome :)

Thank you for telling me this softresetting thing.
If anybody tried out the rom in my second post, is it any good in terms of game desinging? I know I have to improve a lot of things, but someone's opinion would be helpful. :)

I don't really know if Basiegaxorz clears the ram after a reset, sadly i can't program right now anything in C or assembly. After this project, i will start to learn it to get out more juice from the console. By the way, does somebody have some documents about the Codemasters J-cart hardware, like h...

The problem is both actually, but since this is the only place where i gave out any information about my project, i don't think i will be harrassed for anything. I have my own directions and ideas for the game, which will be made for a long obsolete console. And for a technical question: What happen...

Here's a working copy of what it will look like. There's no music, because the composer remade all of the old stuff, so i took them out. Because of this, the sound test is disabled, and turning on and off the music has no effect. This rom still has some errors here and there, but it works on Fusion...

Homebrew visual novel

Hello everybody! As you can see, this is my first post and thread on this forum, i registered because i saw that the people here are helpful with development related questions, and tolerant for newbies too. I started to like the Mega Drive long ago, but it was not my first or second console. I simpl...
