Re-release - War in the Machine v1.1 for Sega Genesis
Good Deal Games decided to make a new batch of War in the Machine for the sega genesis. Original topic here: https://gendev.spritesmind.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2729 Added a more conventional control mode where your player uses UP and DOWN on the d-pad for movement (instead of A and B). As a side e...

Re: Compiling an emulator for enhanced Megadrive
I am pretty far out of my league on his one. I apologize in advance for being both ignorant and off topic. From the feature set wanted and "enhanced megadrive" perspective.. doesn't any emulator with 32x support qualify? To me the 32x was for all intents and purposes an enhanced genesis. Technically...

Re: Want to start making games, no luck at all
Glad you found (and continue to find) momentum on your project danibus!
What SGDK related stuff did you find that got you farther? IDE's, utilities, documentation kind of stuff? I might follow your lead someday

Re: Want to start making games, no luck at all
Both BasiEgaXorz and SecondBASIC have online documentation and forums for community based support. You'll find assembly and C oriented answers here. Not a bad thing but obviously not the primary source for BASIC compiler related solutions. The original poster has probably moved on but I figure these...

Re: War in the Machine for the Sega Genesis
slobu, I can tell you must be a fan of Bosconian and Sinistar :) Spicewares Draconian for the Atari 2600 heavily influenced me. I kind of jokingly made a game engine mock up where you controlled a Bosconian base. Many years later Good Deal Games and I were collaborating on a genesis shooter (this p...

Re: War in the Machine for the Sega Genesis
Hey there Miquel!
I am the sole developer of this game. Just wanted to show off my creation not market it. That's all on Good Deal Games who contracted me for this game.
If you've got a suggestion on how to better spread the word I'm all ears

Re: War in the Machine for the Sega Genesis
Here is a live stream with two player action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qxUkCwbC4d8 TLT of romhacking .ru said there was very little information on my game. SegaTim: If you're active on that site tell him he can reach me here for all the info he needs. Unfortunately, I never learned Russian and...

Re: Adventure of Lolo
Thanks, but I never had the intention of releaseing a cartidge. I would like to se my rom float around the web. I can remove any pokemon sprites. I cannot remove The Lolo name, because then I miss the target audience (35-year olds that played this before). When I started this i Didnt think anyone w...

Re: War in the Machine for the Sega Genesis
All sold through Good Deal Games. Haven't heard a peep about digital copies. The PRGE edition has 30 unique copies. As in, on the title screen it actually states which of the 30 copies it is. That was a pain.

Re: Adventure of Lolo
The market may be big enough if you self publish the game like I do. Also, *completely* remove any "Lolo" art, music, assets etc.. Make this your own.
If you can't handle self publishing then I can help you with that. Send me a message when you're ready.

War in the Machine for the Sega Genesis
Here's a live stream of War in the Machine for the sega genesis. Basically, you control one of two bases launching ships at enemies. The enemies are procedurally generated. The larger "boss" enemy inherits the best rated movement patterns. Should be available at the PRGE and Good Deal Games storefro...

Re: How to crash the emulator?
Use a proprietary size/bank switching scheme. Emulators expect certain formats and sizes.

New BASIC compiler for the Sega Genesis!
Homebrew developer Psycatic has started coding his own BASIC compiler for the Sega Genesis: http://psycatic.proboards.com/thread/5/hello-world http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YiAJJDh-ngo So far it sounds like he's leaning towards open source with multiple platforms targeted. Also noted is a lean towa...
