Re: Sega Tech Docs archive
Thanks for the link. Do you know if any copies of the CodeScape software itself have been shared anywhere? I've used it for the Dreamcast, but I don't think I've ever seen it for the Sega Saturn. Sorry mate... unfortunately not ... all I know is that Cross Products developed it until Version 3 ... ...

Re: Sega Tech Docs archive
You're probably aware of this already... https://segaretro.org/TUME ... it's open source and works great under DosBox (it's basically an historical artifact...) ... it contains several documents (user's guide, source code overview, programmers guide, configuration guide, "tPBin" user's guide and "tP...

Re: Sega Tech Docs archive
Hi guys, I've been working away at something for the last couple of weeks. I have a lot of documentation, tools, images, and other bits and bobs archived for all kinds of Sega systems. Like, a lot, over 15 years worth. I've been trawling through it lately, trying to organise things better, catalogu...

Re: The Video Game History Foundation: Digging for treasure in Aladdin’s source code
Really Cool stuff... i only have a doubt ... they keep this stuff just for them or will they share that stuff with the community? The source code of Aladdin is obviously copyrighted so if by "they keep this stuff just for them" you mean "they are respecting the copyright and avoiding a lawsuit", th...

Re: Sierra 68000 C Compiler
There's not much information about the company or the C Compiler in the web... Sierra Systems was possibly just Larry Rosenthal... Western Technologies Inc. expressly recomended this Cross Compiler to be used with their Genesis Development Card http://www.smspower.org/forums/files/segadev_front_785....

Re: Sierra 68000 C Compiler
They sold also for Unix workstations for around $3.500... in 1995 the DOS version costed $1.750...Chilly Willy wrote: ↑Tue Oct 24, 2017 3:35 pmHoly crap! They wanted $2000 for that? You could have gotten an Atari ST/TT or an Amiga for less than that price and used a free or cheap C compiler. Even SAS/C wasn't that expensive!

Re: Sega Channel hardware ports
I know this topic is 4 months old... so i hope that i'm not disrespecting some rules here... Dave Castelnuovo was at the time, a Pacific Softscape Inc employee, he was the programmer of the Sega Channel BIOS... i don't know nothing about programming... but i guess that is something big... could that...

Re: tUME (the Universal Map Editor)
Tume was developed by Echidna a video game development company for use in the development of Amiga Games for "Future Classics" (publisher)... it was then acquired from echidna by Virgin Games , it was Dan Chang (a programmer ) of Echidna who adapted Tume to be functional on MS-DOS at Virgin Games re...
