Re: Adventure of Lolo

Yeah I kind of know...

However I thought that if I could make a better version of an existing game, some people would play it.

Adventure of Lolo

I have a five level demo available. Its yet completly silent. I would really like to see some feedback as to if you understand what to do in this game, without instructions. How far can you get in my demo, if the only thing I tell you is that you have to collect all the hearts, the Treasure and then...

Re: Sprite engine

I hade a lot of problems loading my first sprite. In my case it was that you had to have the sprite saved as a perfect png image, with indexed colors. This means that paint is impossible, so I use gimp. Perhaps this isnt your problem, but worth mensioning :) Good Luck!

Re: Sprite animations and static frames

I dont know if there is a certain way of doing this in sgdk, but in my game I set the frames manually and have a counter when its time to change them. For an example I change from first to second frame when counter reach 20, but from second to third when the counter reach 60 and so on. Thats how I d...

Re: SegaCon 1(2017): Chaos Emeralds Party

Not interest in this? Thats to bad. I would have went if it wasnt for the Wife/Children thing. Many people in the same situation I guess. Hope this doesnt stop you from having more great Ideas Mat! I think its a little bit boring that the genesis community is not as alive as the C64 community. They ...

Re: SGDK and Visual Studio Code template

If you by this means that you can type for an example "VDP_" and get a list of all avaialable commands that starts that way, then yes! You can also right click on a command and choose "goto definition", where there is a little explanation of the function.

Very Interested

It seems like Very Interested is the highest rank in the forum.
Wouldnt it be cool to have more "Ranks" so that you have something to look forward too :)

The freemasons have at least 10 grades.

I also wonder what happend to my avatar image.

Re: User defined layer

Well, just a thought.... :) Guess you have to get the emulator to be 100% compatible first before you give something like that a serious shot.

User defined layer

One thing that I thought of being thereticly possible, was to make an emulator that loads different "user-defined" graphics than the original machine. Suppose that you have something that loads an image from an adress. whenever this assembly instruction is interpreted by the emulator, he doesnt load...

Re: Monsters in adventure of Lolo

HAHA I love bomjack. I was actually thinking about a port on that as well. I've also thought about porting IK+, but then you really need to reverse engineer assembly. This Lolo port hovever will more be like "What if lolo was released for the 16 bit consoles", and as so the graphics will be new and ...

Re: Monsters in adventure of Lolo

Thank you :) I think I'll use this background information and creates something that is "sort of" like the original. I'll rather design new levels than learn to dissasembly I think. Maybe when the children have grown up or something :)
