Woow it realy kind-of rocks. Has maybe a rather limited usefulness as it is, but cool technology demo (code translator). Oddly enough, game is kind-of buggy now - I have no idea as of why. I have some savestates where game starts up in some level aafter losing life, and controls doesn't work anymore...

MC68000 authoritative reference

I might be redundant here, yet I just had to do this - seeing how many people refer to some old/unknown/txt/wherever_found papers or just something that somebody told - regarding MC68000 operation details, instruction timing and even bus access cycle states. Also when there some bitwidth arguing tak...

Well, locking it to registered users realy doesn't protect anything, as anybody can register there and steal the ideas/schematics e.t.c. Couldn't there be any users from neoteam/whateverteam? So I think it should be open. By the way, posting any replies anywhere in this forum is allowed only for reg...

koilazka : it's a sum for one chips to be decapped and throughoutly photographed by a professional using a microscope. Check pages 20-22 of this very thread to read on what and how could be done thanks to such an operation. (http://gendev.spritesmind.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=386&postdays=0&postord...

Well those indexes, surveys and prognose/statistics charts are more used to control things rather to show. Never believe them. It pure crap in relation to anything. That's quite much like 'average' measurement in anything. You know that if hostpital will have for every five patients temperatures: on...

It's likely to be meant to be something to continue on, for those who have mastered more classic language called BrainFuck (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brainfuck) At least they've got adequate mascot. Reminds me of a pigmy shrew (http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/699) from now a classic flash a...

Nice, me and Chilly Willy (we chatted thru PM about the matter) are highly likely to donate, too. At the moment I have no spare resources, yet I plan to have them by next month and so for this great cause I might put maybe a half/whole buck for a kilobyte of genesis memory (both dram and sram) :) Ge...

Drums roll now. Ok I contaced EAG , which forwarded me to MEFAS, because chip decapsulation and photography cannot be carried out in other labs. So it was unnecessary fuss around EAG, yet we now at least know that there are no such simple ouside-us options. So yes, Chilly Willy, we will need you r ...

I work very nearby (~10 km) from the first location Woow, that's excellent! I think it further changes planned logistics to: Nemesis(Australia)--postal-->Eke(France)--driving-->EAG EAG--pickup-->Eke(France)--postage-->whoeverpays(whereverpays) That's if EAG can hangle everything within lab in Franc...

Ok then it might simplify things. Europaen one is in France - so, anybody from France there? http://www.eaglabs.com/contact/france.php Or UK: http://www.eaglabs.com/contact/uk.php ( Is there anybody from UK or even better - Wokingham? ) There is, however, no information about what they can do in thi...

Unfortunately, MEFAS has no email address mentioned in their website, so it's up to somebody located in US to call them up to avoid international call fee hell burden. http://www.mefas.com/contact.html From them we should get: - price on decapping DIP24 package - price on decapping PQ type packages ...

I assumed "Nemesis -> MEFAS -> Chilly" path because as far as I know, MEFAS doesn't care about receiving things from other countries - it's only about sending. Anyways this should be cleared out along with the price on all of this. I think I will myself cover some significant part of the price the M...

Well, nice to see that the rock starts to move ;) This far we see, that on point No.1 we have a common view; No.2 might be solved thanks to Chilly Willy; No.5 is clear thanks to Nemesis; No.7 seems to be acceptable to everyone as well. So the things we need to figure out are the rest of points - mai...
