I found this neat little project recently: http://www.snega2usb.com/wordpress/ Basically, it's a cartridge USB reader that acts as a USB 2.0 device with a binary rom file on it. I believe this can not only be used for legal emulation of your games but also ROM dumping... First versions of USB flash...

WRONG!!!! Look in datasheet: AM29F160 Page 22: (Command Definitions Table 9.) Unlock Bypass Unlock Bypass...

Hmm, I wonder if it makes sense for somebody (not me :P) here to buy a few of these, and the people that want them instead send the money to that person? It would simplify things somewhat. I wouldn't mind paying a fair bit extra for the convenience. Like, send the money to person X, person X then p...

I sometimes got flashing errors(1 or 2 bytes maybe) when I run CPU intensive programs while the (MS-DOS) flashing utility runs (program controls a "dumb" device from LPT port and manually writes and polls the flashchips). My device use HW Write pooling control. Write errors is not possible. :) Veri...

My FLASH cartrige take 4 minutes to erase, write and verification an 32Mbit file. It can be more optimized and speed up at least 40%-50%. But I to lazy to do it and busy for now. http://img71.imageshack.us/img71/9758/1001225wp3.th.jpg http://img91.imageshack.us/img91/1915/1001226wc4.th.jpg Now Firm...
